So while I haven’t had a chance to go out and shoot at all lately (been running back and forth to San Francisco) I’m going back through older photos.
For this photo, I’m reminded of how important one aspect of photography is that tends to be the first thing I forget with all the other things like light, aperture, speed is patience. It seems that more often than not that the angle is as important as being in the right place at the right time. Or, maybe it’s more that you can be in “a” place at “a” time but not at the right angle. Knowing you could have captured that awesome shot because you were there, just not in the right angle, is what grates on me.
These two shots are perfect examples of seeing “that awesome photo” but not being able to capture it because you weren’t 10 feet higher or lower or better positioned. GAH.
