I didn’t take this photo (National Geographic did), but you get the idea of the epic scale I’m shooting for. I know it’s probably setting the bar a little high but at least it’s good to have goals?
I would like to take this weekend for learning how to frame interesting landscapes (Yosemite’s natural beauty will help, I’m sure) and also how to take well-formed shots of giant redwoods. Such a huge subject (width and height) no doubt has to be tough to frame in a good way. I’m planning to get up early and try to get a photo like this (didn’t take this one either):
