Things that inspire me: Time lapse of a supercell forming

I love weather a little more than your average person. Since we don’t get much variety in southern California it’s always top of mind for me when storms roll through or we have crazy cloudy days. I like to know what’s happening up there, why, and what it means. This has been especially useful while hiking, except for a few times when I wasn’t paying attention and ended up on a trail full of snow about 2 or 3 hours in.

When I saw this this morning I was blown away – Basehunting Chasers followed this supercell yesterday and posted this incredible time lapse video from Wyoming.

I can’t even.

Here’s the timelapse: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VoO89cqDgJU#t=91
